 The team at Effigy Paranormal conducted a formal investigation on site Friday November 20, 2009. The team had been looking forward to this investigation due to claims of tangible activity such as books flying off shelves and the key ring rack in the gift shop spinning of its own accord. Upon talking with the staff, we learned of both visitors and staff experiencing strange activity including more than one instance of a full bodied apparition being sighted on premises. The team came prepared to collect data and was not disappointed. Along with several Class A and Class B EVP and one questionable piece of video footage came one of the most significant documentable paranormal events the team has recorded to date. |

The team had split into two groups and team 2, headed up by Co-Founder Kathy Mills, was inside the USS Hartford seated in the Ward room. Medium Tina Rexach sighted something behind Kathy moving from right to left. Within seconds another team member feels something run through her hair and our medium also feels something brushing against her cheek. At this moment the staff member present has chest pain and trouble breathing. She gets up and hastily leaves the area. Just as this occurs a spike of 7.5 is recorded on the EMF meter, which quickly falls back to our base reading of 0.2. Those of you that have investigation experience will know how significant this event is. It is very rare to get a spike in that range, but when coupled with activity experienced at the same moment is something that comes around only once in a blue moon for investigators. The activity experienced by those present by itself may be written off as coincidence, but when coupled with a reading such as this at the precise moment of activity denotes true documentation of activity in the area. |

| Effigy Paranormal finds this site to have definite activity resulting from an intelligent haunting. There is also some residual activity on site. Further investigation of this location is warranted. | |
