Things going bump in the night?

Think you may have activity in your home or business?  Many families never attempt to get help.  Some are afraid of the embarassment of contacting someone to be told "There is nothing in your house" or "You may just be imagining it".  Others just keep it to themselves altogether thinking they may be going crazy.  In some cases the lack of addressing the issue can lead to other problems.  Family members experiencing the "out of the ordinary" can withdraw and become moody, feeling as if no one else understands (this is especially true amongst spouses).  The individual experiencing these occurences may not want to be in the house and will stay away for long periods to avoid the situation.  This can also cause mental and emotional issues which can affect this individual's every day life including work and family.

We understand that not all those having issues in their home may actually go the step of contacting someone about it.  Following you will find a few simple tasks you can perform which may help.  If you feel you would like to contact us, please feel free to do so.  We welcome all serious enquiries.

Logs

Simple tricks

Ghost logThe first thing I ask individuals to do upon contacting me, is to keep a daily log.  Simply write the date each day and follow it with either the time, duration and location of the occurence or "No activity".  This will aid you in determining a pattern.  Be sure to write everything down no matter how insignificant you may think it is.  If you noticed it, it may be something unusual  That said, do keep in mind that you are most likely on edge due to the activity you are experiencing and may react to normal situations a bit differently.  Keeping a log will help you decipher what may be a normal occurence and what may be out of the ordinary.

Examples:

Sunday December 6, 2009 - I saw a strange light pass by my bedroom doorway at 11:51pm.  My spouse was asleep beside me and no one else was in the house.  No cars passing by.

or

Sunday December 6, 2009 - No activity

  • Just tell them to go.  I know this may sound simple and perhaps a bit silly, but you may be surprised as to how well it works.  Have you ever had a house guest that just wouldn't leave?  Did you just ignore him/her or did you have to initiate steps to remove them?  You may not consider your "visitor" a house guest, but in essence they are.  Some may leave on their own accord just at your request.
  • Have your home blessed.  Now this is a tricky subject and is directly related to your belief system.  If you believe a house blessing will rid you of your unwanted guest, it most likely will.  Others may prefer burning sage or other herbs while still others use crystals such as clear quartz and other gemstones to "keep the spirits at bay".
