Ghost Hunting 101

Classes/investigations start at 9pm on the specified dates and continue until the last ghost hunter is standing.  Private classes can be booked with a minimum of 15 people.

Interact with the team at Effigy Paranormal.  Learn the proper procedure for conducting an investigation.  Be instructed on and use some of the team's equipment.  Participate in EVP sessions.  Learn how to properly take photographs during an investigation.  Learn the how, whys and whens of ghost hunting...and more! 

All this in a documented paranormally active location! 
Our medium will also be on hand!

Please be advised:  The Civil War Naval Museum is a genuinely active site with documented paranormal activity.  The team and staff cannot predict what may occur on any given night.  If you are sensitive or easily excitable please be sure this experience is for you before booking.

Cost - $85 per person*

includes Class, investigation, box lunch, t-shirt, bumper sticker, investigation report, group photo and one year membership into the Effigy Paranormal Ghost Hunting Group (A $20 value)

Limited space is available.  It is suggested you book well in advance to reserve your space.

  1. You may bring food and/or drink, but no alcoholic beverages will be allowed on site.
  2. Anyone under the obvious influence of alcohol will be denied entry and no refund will be given.
  3. Please wear soft soled shoes and comfortable clothing.
  4. The museum contains genuine artifacts from the Civil War including the remains of Confederate ships.  Please do not touch the relics or lean on display cases.
  5. You will be allowed access to areas where normal visitors are not allowed, please be respectful.
  6. Please bring a flashlight and any equipment you wish to use (ie. cameras, digital recorders, EMF detectors etc.)
  7. Should you use it, please be sure to return any equipment that is the property of Effigy Paranormal.
  8. Be sure to participate fully, ask questions and have fun!
